Our Wedding Anniversary
Terry and I had a wonderful weekend, celebrating our Wedding Anniversary, which was March 21st. Terry picked the date, because the year we got married, March 21st was the first day of Spring. What better time to look toward a fresh start and new beginning. It has been a wonderful six years of married life! We look forward to many, many more years of happiness together-with each other and our family and friends. To mark our special occasion, Terry gave me a beautiful sterling silver necklace with a mother-of-pearl heart. I gave him a set of cuff links with the Bulova Accutron logo. We cooked two great meals together and watched a tremendous amount of NCAA March Madness Basketball. We are truly blessed with a wonderful life.~CB

Earl Scruggs Visits The Studio
Earl Scruggs, along with his sons, Gary and Randy, were in Charlotte to appear as guests on The Big Show with John Boy & Billy - who distribute Knee-Deep In Bluegrass through Premiere Radio Networks. It was a fun time watching and listening to a true music legend. Earl Scruggs' banjo playing has been a tremendous influence to generations of musicians. On the show, the interview was great. A couple of songs from the CD 'Earl Scruggs with Family & Friends-The Ultimate Collection-Live at the Ryman' were featured. Earl and Randy even played a tune for us - "Fireball Mail". I will have some video to post in a few days.
I hope you have made plans to join us Saturday, April 11, 8pm, at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte for "Earl Scruggs with Family and Friends", presented by John Boy & Billy and Knee-Deep In Bluegrass. We are looking forward to an awesome evening!

Terry: On Tour with Dale Ann Bradley
Today the band is in Texas for the Argyle Bluegrass Festival. In addition to Dale Ann Bradley, today features Tony Rice & Friends, Mountain Heart and The Carolina Chocolate Drops.
DALE ANN IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
In a recent Wall Street Journal article about Bluegrass music, columnist Barry Mazor had this to say about Dale Ann and her latest CD, "Catch Tomorrow."
"Ms. Bradley is a soulful, stunning, full-voiced vocalist, and her winning the Female Vocalist of the Year award for a second year in a row is a clear indication that traditional bluegrass is fending off incursions by those who would make the genre sound more like contemporary country pop. In fact, Dale Ann is more likely to take a pop song (Ann Peebles's "I Can't Stand the Rain" on this CD, for example ) and transform it into hardcore bluegrass.
Dale Ann's current band line-up is:
Terry Baucom, Banjo
Brandon Godman, Fiddle
Tim Laughlin, Mandolin
Roscoe Morgan, Jr., Bass
This will give you a great opportunity to hear Terry's Deering Model Banjo on stage and see it in person. Catch them when they are performing in your area. Schedules for Terry (and me) available on our MySpace page www.myspace.com/kneedeepinbluegrass
