A BIG, BIG Thank You to everyone who joined us over the weekend to kick off the outdoor festival season with FarmFest at Farmington Dragway. Friday evening we enjoyed two great performances by Carrie Hassler & Hard Rain. We also had several talented folks join in on Open Mic. Saturday the day got underway with J A M-Junior Appalachian Musicians. Clog Carolina danced for us after that. The Snyder Family Band impressed the crowd with their abilities, too. Afternoon sets by the Kenny & Amanda Smith Band, Lou Reid & Carolina, Steep Canyon Rangers and Cadillac Sky filled the air with top-of-the-line Bluegrass Music. The bands did evenings sets, too. Terry Baucom's Super Jam was a highlight for many as Lou Reid, Wes Golding, Josh Williams, Mike Hartgove, Tim Smith, Kenny & Amanda Smith and myself joined Terry on stage for an hour long set. We had a blast! Hopefully everyone will make plans to join us next year on the second weekend in April 2009 for the 2nd Annual FarmFest at Farmington Dragway, Farmington, NC.
